One of the most interesting features of San Miguel are it numerous fountains and corner niches. These can be found throughout the old region of the town.

The fountain to the left was dedicated to the town namesake, de Allende himself. To the right is a colorful fountain found at the back of the Parroquia.

If you find yourself on one of the many street corners of San Miguel, then look up. You are likely to see a work of art embedded in the corner of the buildings. These niches range from simple crosses to full statues of important figures in Mexican life.
